Attributes : Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Explore the radically different attribute system they put into Skyrim and cry tears of blood as you see how simplified they made it.
Skyrim Attributes Information
Skyrim's attribute system has really been dumbed down for console gamers. Outside of the normal Elder Scrolls leveling system, where you had over ten attributes that would increase each level by varying amounts based on Skill usage, Skyrim opted to only allow you to increase one of three attributes for a fixed amount. Health, Magicka and Stamina are your choices, able to increase one by ten points every time you level regardless of skill usage.
Health
Health, HP, Hit Points, Life Points. You know what this is if you've ever played a video game, ever. When this hits zero, you're dead. No passing go, no collecting any money. You are probably going to be reanimated by a necrophiliac necromancer.
Heath is displayed as a red bar in the bottom center of the screen. Each second you regenerate 0.7% of your maximum life juice.

Magicka
Magicka, MP, Magic Points, Mana, Essence, Spirit. I'm sure you know what this stuff is. It's your resource to cast pretty looking fireballs. When it hits zero, party is over.
Health is displayed as a blue bar in the bottom left side of the screen. Each second you regenerate 3% of your maximum magicka.

Stamina
Stamina. Well, it's stamina. Useless in Oblivion, relevant in Skyrim. It is basically your physical energy. You use it up by performing attacks and running.
Stamina is displayed as a green bar in the bottom right side of the screen. Each second you regenerate 5% of your maximum stamina.
*When choosing stamina at a level up, you are also given 5 more, carry weight (Encumbrance)
