Destruction : Elder Scrolls Skyrim
One of 18 skills in The Elder Scrolls Skyrim V : Skyrim, Destruction is a combat magicka skill which falls under the mage play style.
Why is Destruction Bad Ass
Destruction is one of the most bad ass skills because normally people don't need to ask that. But because of your extra chromosome I will just say there is not much more in this life that brings more joy than trapping a zombie within walls of fire as you nonchalantly toss lightning bolts at him until you can smell his seared flesh.
How do I use Destruction
As with all spell schools Destruction has an effect on all Destruction classed spells. Increasing their effectiveness. As with all other skills in Skyrim, increasing the skill allows you access to powerful perks (pictured right) that allow you to reduce magicka cost and unlock some pretty cool passive abilities. Not only that, but increasing your skill level unlocks new tiers of spells. A full spell list follows;
Destruction spells all have innate abilities depending on the element they identify with; Fire, Frost and Lightning. Fire does more damage to targets on fire already while being the most magicka efficient. Frost does damage to both health and stamina while being slightly less magicka efficient than fire. Lightning does damage to both health and magicka and its projectiles are instant, but it is the least magicka efficient.

Increasing Destruction Skill in Skyrim
Increasing any magicka skill is done by repeatedly casting the abilities. Combat abilities must be used in combat, and non combat abilities do not contribute as much as they are always able to be used. Increasing Destruction is not the fastest but it is the most natural and most innate. Since every ability is a combat ability and you are constantly in combat, Destruction will level up as it should with normal use.
