One-Handed : Elder Scrolls Skyrim
One of 18 skills in The Elder Scrolls Skyrim V : Skyrim, One-Handed is a combat skill which falls under the warrior play style
Why is One-Handed Bad Ass
One-Handed is one of the most bad ass skills because not only can you beat someone to a pulp with a one handed mace, you can now equip two one handed maces (or any other one handed weapon) and mash faces in from two different angles. As a sneaky character performing assassination moves your One-Handed bonuses are then multiplied by the sneak multiplier.
What does One-Handed Affect
Each time you swing a one handed weapon with the intent of ending something's life your One-Handed skill comes into play when determining damage. As with all other skills in Skyrim, increasing the skill allows you access to powerful perks (pictured right) that allow you to add special effects to your weapon selection. Swords crit, maces ignore armor and axes leave them bloody.
Increasing One-Handed Skill in Skyrim
Every time you swing your one-handed weapon in a manner to end someone or something's life and score a hit, you actively raise your One-Handed skill. Sneak attacks and executions also aid to raise your skill level.

One-Handed Tips
Dual wielding doesn't seem like anything special until you unleash a dual wield power attack. The relentless strikes will beat things into submission. Add in a perk that has a chance to paralyze, and it's like beating on a corpse.
