Powers : Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Strong abilities that are not available to everyone. Powers can stem from your heritage (Race), your powerful Vampire blood or maybe it was a gift...
Skyrim Powers Information
Powers are the abilities in Skyrim that are unique to a certain person, group of people, a circle or an ability gained by something greater than yourself.
Like in real life where we all have racial abilities, (eg. Black people have athletics) Skyrim is no different. Each race has it's own power that you cannot have access to unless you are that race.
Using Powers in Skyrim
Within your menu system there is actually a category for powers where everything you have access to is there. You can select the, favorite them or browse them the same way you would with spells or inventory.
After realizing you don't have Histskin due to terrible character creation choices and have to make due with what you have you may want to know the restrictions of your abilities since it seems these spells may be overpowered since they have no cost.
Restriction of Powers
Almost all powers within this game can only be used once per day. In game day, this changes some powers you may have read about to, "ooooh, nice." into..."who the f*ck wants that...". Like... the Guardian Stone Tower Power.

Racial Powers
Adrenaline Rush Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Redguard .
Effect: Stamina regenerates 10x faster for 60 seconds.
This allows you to unleash a flurry of power attacks like it's no big deal. You would imagine a Redguard would have something to increase his Pickpocket skill, possibly his Lockpicking.

Ancestor's Wrath Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Dunmer (Dark Elf).
Effect: 60 seconds, opponents that get too close take 8 points per second of fire damage.
You're such a flamer, you now hurt people around you. Decent damage early game, if you specialize in Destruction you will learn an outright replacement spell.

Battle Cry Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Nord.
Effect: Targets flee for 30 seconds.
People were upset that there was no Dragon Shout, "F*ck Yoooou". This is the closest thing presently in game. You basically tell everyone to get the f*ck away, and so they spend the next 30 second running even while receiving axe blows to the back.

Berserker Rage Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Orc (Orismer) .
Effect: You take half damage and do double damage for 60 seconds.
I ramble on about beast mode a lot on this website but if I had to choose one thing to exemplify it, it would be this. One minute of being a large green god with bad teeth. Activated before a Sneak attack is brutal.

Command Animal Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Bosmer (Wood Elf).
Effect: Make an animal an ally for 60 seconds.
Giants take a sh*t on our good days, we're traveling the roads and they stand there with their herds of mammoth making us detour forty miles to reach out destination. NOT ANYMORE, take command of that mammoth and have it wipe the smirk off that stupid giant.

Dragonskin Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Breton.
Effect: Absorbs 50% of the magicka from hostile spells for 60 seconds.
Pfft, who needs magicka potions when I can just be burned with fire or frozen half to death. Whoever it was that started this practice which became a racial trait was borderline retarded... or really cheap.

Highborn Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Altmer (High Elf).
Effect: Regenerate magicka faster for 60 seconds.
Elves love magicka. Altmer (High Elves) love it more, this lets them become fireball gatling guns for one minute. Or used with Restoration and a ward spell you can keep up some of the lesser wards indefinitely for harsh environments or walking through fire.

Histskin Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Argonian.
Effect: Invoke the power of the Hist to recover health ten times faster for 60 seconds.
First up, why does the Redguard's Power, Adrenaline Rush say -"...10x..." and this power says -"...ten times...". Consistency man, shit.
This power is beefy, but more importantly, you're a walking lizard.

Eye of the Night Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Khajiit.
Effect: Improved night vision for 60 seconds.
As a Khajiit you are a giant cat.
*pause for laughter*
Because of this they thought it would funny to give you an ability that already exists in the Illusion spell book and is largely not needed since even the darkest parts of Skyrim at night are easily navigated and looted with no aid.

Voice of the Emperor Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Imperial.
Effect: Calms nearby people for 60 seconds.
When I find a use for this ability I'll let you know. Has a cool name.

Vampire Powers
Embrace of Shadows Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Vampire - Stage 4
Effect: Vampire is invisible and has improved night vision for 180 seconds.
You receive this just in time. Everyone hates you now as a stage four vampire. You will literally be attacked by almost anyone and anything on sight, until you're dead or they're all dead. So this spell lets you move around to find some juicy girl's neck to nibble.

Vampire's Seduction Power Skyrim
Requires: Being a Vampire - Stage 2
Effect: Creatures and people up to level 10 won't fight for 30 seconds.
At stage two people still aren't attacking you on sight so this is just another useless calm spell. When you hit stage 4 this becomes somewhat useful. If you want to go into your home in Whitereach people are going to go apeshit on you. Use this to pacify them and run home.

Vampire's Servant Power Skyim
Requires: Being a Vampire - Stage 1/2/3/4
Effect: Reanimate a more powerful dead body to fight for you for 60 seconds.
This is a vampire power which grows in power depending on what stage you're at. The higher the stage the more powerful the ability. It works just like Conjuration's many reanimate spells. Kill someone, then raise him from the dead to kill your enemies. Works well enough, and at stage four you can reanimate very powerful corpses that you wouldn't be able to without extremely high Conjuration.

Guardian Stone Powers
Ritual Guardian Stone Power Skyrim
Requires: Activate the Ritual Guardian Stone.
Effect: Raises all dead around you to fight for you.
Kill all of Riften, raise them all as your zombie minions and march on Solitude with your zombie armor. No limit to the amount of raised corpses they just need to be close enough... make sure to drag them over.

Serpent Guardian Stone Power Skyrim
Requires: Activate the Serpent Guardian Stone.
Effect: Paralyze the target for 5 seconds, and do 25 points. (of damage)
This is one of those powers that looks so baller, bad ass, naked chick good. But then you need to remember the one use per day rule, and it becomes terrible. What are you going to do, wait a day in between kills? Absolutely terrible.
