Guardian Stones : Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Throughout Skyrim there are 13 Guardian Stones stashed away. Each granting an ability or powerful buff for you to take. You may only have 1 active at a time.
Skyrim Guardian Stone Information
The Skyrim Guardian Stones, known as the standing stones to some, are special stones which grant abilities ranging from incredible to terrible (Tower)
There are 13 stones spread throughout all of Skyrim, if you shelled out the dough early and pre-ordered Skyrim the stones will be marked with red x's on your map. If you are looking for a specific location to one of the stones check the map images below.
You may only have 1 of the stone's abilities or buffs active at any given time. You may swap freely between any of the stones at any time by visiting the stone. They are all fast travel markers on the Skyrim map.

Skill Reminder
Because some of these Guardian Stones have bonuses to increase the rate in which you level, remember that the three crafting skills, Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy belong to the skill family Warrior, Mage and Thief, respectively.

The Apprentice Guardian Stone
Effect: You take twice as much magic damage, but regenerate magicka twice as fast.

The Atronach Guardian Stone
Effect: You gain 50 extra magicka points, absorb 50% of all spell damage but regenerate magicka 50% slower.
This is beastly good, 50% less spell damage taken means you can take all those shots to the face np. heh

The Lady Guardian Stone
Effect: Your Health and Stamina both regenerate 25% faster

The Lord Guardian Stone
Effect: You gain 50 points of physical damage resistance and 25% magic resistance.
If you have a tanky type class, this is a great addition to your build. Makes you tanks as balls, very tank balls.

The Lover Guardian Stone
Effect: All of you skills improve 15% faster.
This is good if your class does not fall under the Mage, Thief or Warrior Guardian stone or if you are not looking to specialize.

The Mage Guardian Stone
Effect: All of your magic skills improve 20% faster.

The Ritual Guardian Stone
Effect: Raise corpses around you to fight for you. Activated ability, one cast per day.
This is a fun spell. Get agro of all of Whiterun, lure them to the town square, slaughter them like cattle use this spell and you have a literal zombie army.

The Serpent Guardian Stone
Effect: Paralyze a target for 5 seconds while doing 25 damage from range. Activated ability, one cast per day.

The Steed Guardian Stone
Effect: Increase your carry weight by 100 points and armor gives no movement penalty.
This is beast mode +2. Eliminates the penalties of Heavy Armor, making it a valid choice for anyone... or just beefing up your backpack brah.

The Thief Guardian Stone
Effect: All of your Thief skills improve 20% faster.

The Tower Guardian Stone
Effect: Unlock a lock up to Expert difficulty. Activated ability, one cast per day.
